1. Steering axle.
The steering axle is usually located on the trailer tractor, so it is also called the front axle. When turning, the wheels at both ends are deflected by a certain angle through the steering knuckle to realize the steering of the vehicle.
In general, the steering axle of a trailer should not only bear the steering function, but also bear the moment caused by the longitudinal force and the lateral force.
2. Drive axle.
The function of the drive axle is mainly to distribute the torque of the engine to the left and right drive wheels after reducing the speed and increasing the torque and changing the direction of power transmission to drive the vehicle. . If classified according to the structure, it can be divided into integral drive axle and disconnected drive axle. (1) The integral drive axle adopts non-independent suspension. The drive axle housing is a rigid whole. Both ends of the drive axle are connected to the frame through the suspension. (2) The disconnected drive axle adopts independent suspension, the main reducer is fixed on the frame, the front axle is the front sub-frame, both ends are connected to the frame through the upper and lower swing arms, and the half shaft also passes through the universal joint in sections. section connection. 3. Steering drive axle.

4. Support bridge.

(2) Drum axle.
Drum axles feature sealed brake drums with larger pads for greater braking force, making them more suitable for heavy-duty transport vehicles. However, because of its sealed brake drum, the heat dissipation is poor. In order to avoid thermal decay, a water spray device needs to be equipped to cool it down during continuous braking.
(3) Low flat axle.
Low flatbed axles are mainly used in low flatbed trailers. Since they are often used to transport heavy loads, they have higher requirements on the bearing capacity and stability of the axles.
